Sound familiar?

A busy day is where notes get lost.

  1. You jot a client’s number in a note.

  2. Twenty tabs later, it’s buried under everything.

  3. “Send the proposal at 5.” You’ll remember.

  4. You remember.

Hoverpad keeps that note on top of the right app, and taps you at . See the difference

Compared with what you use now

Easier than a pen. Tidier than a .txt file.

Most quick notes end up on paper you can’t find, in Notepad files you have to name, or in a chat with yourself. Hoverpad is quicker than all three, and keeps each note where you need it.

Drag the line to compare the same desktop. Pick a step to watch it again.
  • No pen or paper nearby

Press Alt+Shift+N and a note opens over whatever you’re doing. It saves as you type.

  • Naming every Notepad file

Notes have no file names and no Save As. Start typing, and that’s it.

  • Forgetting where you saved it

Every note is in one list inside Hoverpad, and search finds any word in any note.

  • Long text from ChatGPT or a web page

Too long to copy out with a pen? Paste it into a note and its bold, lists and links come along. Or drag the text onto the pad.

  • Messaging yourself on WhatsApp or email

The note stays on your PC, next to the app it’s about, and can remind you at the right time.

  • Screenshots piling up in a folder

Snip part of the screen straight into a note, right where you need it.

How it works

Always in view. In the right place. On time.

It floats above every app

A little sticky-note pad sits on top of everything, even maximized and full-screen browser windows. Click it and your notes and reminders open right beside it.

  • Drag it anywhere. It snaps to the edge of the screen.
  • Any note can stay on your desktop as its own sticky.
  • Right-click the pad for quick actions.

Notes stay with their app

Every note remembers where you wrote it. Come back to that app and its notes come back too; switch away and they step aside. When you arrive somewhere that has notes, the pad gives one small shake.

  • Code editorsEach project counts on its own: VS Code, Cursor, JetBrains.
  • Word, Excel and foldersEach file or folder counts on its own.
  • BrowsersThe browser counts as one app.

Turn off “This screen only” to see every note, everywhere.

Reminders in your own words

Type what you need and when, the way you’d say it. Hoverpad finds the time, even for repeats like “every weekday at 9:30”. When it’s due, a calm card waits in the corner of your screen until you press Done or Snooze.

  • Missed while the PC was asleep? It shows up as soon as you’re back.
  • Pause alerts for a meeting, then catch up after.

Starts with Windows, quietly · Your notes stay on your PC

Voice, on your PC

Hold the pad. Say it.

A reminder, a note, a line for your list or a quick command. Your words show up as you speak, and nothing you say leaves your PC.

Talk to the pad

Hold the floating pad and speak. Let go when you’re done, or just stop talking. Hoverpad sets the reminder, saves the note or adds to the list, and shows you what it did.

  • Misheard a word? Fix it on the card and it’s done again with the right words. Or Undo.
  • Also “pause alerts for an hour”, “open my notes”, “find invoice”, “take a screenshot”.

Voice typing in any app

In a chat, an email or your code: hold Alt+Shift+D, speak, and let go. The words are typed where your cursor is. Say “new line” to start a new one.

  • Your words show on a small bar at the bottom of the screen as you talk.
  • If an app won’t take typing, the words are copied instead, ready to paste.
  • Pick other keys in Settings whenever you like.

Speech becomes text on your PC, in English. The voice model downloads once (57 MB); after that it works offline.

Where it helps

Made for people who live in many windows.

  • Developers

TODOs live with the repo. Open crm-api in VS Code and its notes are there. Switch projects and they step aside.

  • Sales and CRM

Call notes sit beside the deal. Type “follow up Thursday 10am” and it becomes a reminder.

  • Students

Formulas next to the lecture slides, and a morning card with what’s due today.

  • Support and ops

Steps beside the ticket tool. One shortcut hides it all before you share your screen.

Also built in

Little things you’ll use every day.

  • Snip the screen into a note

Press Alt+Shift+S and drag over anything on screen. It becomes a note right where it was.

  • A calm morning summary

The first time you sit down each day, one card lists today’s reminders. A day with nothing on it stays quiet.

  • The same notes on every PC

Sign in with Google and Hoverpad backs up to your own Drive, then keeps your PCs in step.

  • Hide everything in one press

Sharing your screen? Alt+Shift+H hides the pad and every note. Press it again to bring them back.

  • Checklists, colors and pictures

Tick boxes, bullet lists, eight paper colors, a handwritten font, and pictures you paste or drop in.

  • Updates itself

New versions install quietly the next time Hoverpad starts. There are no installers to click through.

  • Folders, and a Private space

Sort notes into folders. Keep the ones only you should see behind a password: they’re encrypted, and lock by themselves when you step away.

  • Copy in one click

Every note has a copy button that keeps its formatting. In a list, copy just the line you need.

  • Fixes itself

If any part of Hoverpad ever stops answering, it restarts that part by itself, and your notes stay just as they were.

How it treats you

Quiet, private and light.

Calm by design

No badges, no red counters, no streaks. When a screen has notes, the pad gives one small shake. Reminders wait quietly until you act.

Your notes stay yours

Everything is saved on your PC first. Backup goes to your own Google Drive, in a private folder only Hoverpad can open. We don’t keep a copy. What you say to it becomes text on your PC and is never sent anywhere.

Questions

Good to know.

Does it work on a Mac?

Not yet. Hoverpad is made for Windows 10 and 11.

Where are my notes kept?

On your PC, saved as you type. Whenever you’re online, a copy also goes to a private Hoverpad folder in your own Google Drive. It can’t see your other files, and we never receive your notes.

Why sign in with Google?

So your notes are backed up, and your trial and purchase follow you to any PC: sign in there and the same notes are waiting. Hoverpad only gets your email address and its own private folder in your Drive.

Do I have to save or name my notes?

No. Notes save as you type and stay inside Hoverpad: there are no files to name. Folders are there if you like them (new notes go in General), and search finds any note again.

Does voice send what I say anywhere?

No. Speech is turned into text on your PC by an open-source engine (whisper.cpp). The first time you use it, Hoverpad downloads its English voice model once (57 MB); after that it works offline. Recordings are deleted as soon as they’re read.

Can I keep some notes private?

Yes. Set a password and move notes or whole folders into Private. They’re encrypted on your PC, hidden from everywhere else, and lock by themselves when you’re away or the PC locks.

Can I keep long text, like an answer from ChatGPT?

Yes. Paste it into a note and its bold text, lists and links stay as they were. Notes can hold long text, and you can also drag text from any app onto the pad to make it a note.

Will it slow down my PC?

No. In the background it uses about 0.3% of one CPU core and around 250 MB of memory. Notes for apps you aren’t using are put away after 5 minutes to free memory.

What happens after the free week?

Click Buy in Hoverpad and pay once in your browser. It unlocks for good by itself, with no license key to copy. If you don’t buy it, nothing is deleted: your notes stay on screen and readable, and reminders you already set still go off.

How do I pay? Is it a subscription?

No subscription. Pay the whole price at once, or in installments: a first payment now, then a smaller one every couple of months, all within a year (Hoverpad shows the amounts when you choose Buy). Each payment unlocks Hoverpad for a while; if the next one is late, it turns read-only until it’s paid. Once it’s all paid, Hoverpad is yours for good, with updates, on every PC you sign in on. Pay by UPI, debit or credit card, or net banking, on Razorpay’s secure page; nothing is ever taken automatically. Have a coupon? Type it on Hoverpad’s plan page before you pay. Changed your mind? Ask within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund (how refunds work).

What if my PC is asleep when a reminder is due?

Hoverpad wakes it a minute early, rings the reminder on time, and lets it go back to sleep if nobody comes. By default it does this only when the PC is plugged in, so a laptop in a bag stays asleep. Windows needs its “Allow wake timers” setting on, and Hoverpad shows you how to turn it on. A PC that’s shut down can’t be woken, so anything you missed goes off as soon as you’re back.

Does it stay on top of full-screen apps?

Yes, over normal windows, maximized windows and full-screen browsers. Some full-screen games draw over everything, and Windows lets them.

Can I hide it while I share my screen?

Press Alt + Shift + H to hide the pad and every note at once. Press it again to bring them back.

Can I change how the pad looks?

Yes: six designs (sticky note, bubble, app tile, notebook, glass, orbit), eight colors, three sizes, and a dozen symbols, or your own letter or emoji. Pick them in Settings or by right-clicking the pad. A reminder going off still shows the bell, so you never miss one.

Does it work with two monitors?

Yes. Notes follow their apps on any monitor, and you can snip on each screen.

Does it start with Windows?

Yes, quietly: just the pad and the notes you left on screen. Reminders that came due while the PC was off show up right away. You can turn this off in Settings.
