About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [your business name] (“we”, “us”) for using Hoverpad, the Windows app, and this website. By installing Hoverpad, signing in or buying it, you agree to them.
Our Privacy Policy and Cancellation and Refund Policy are part of these terms.
Your licence
During your free trial, and once you’ve bought Hoverpad, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install Hoverpad on the Windows PCs you use and to use it for personal or work purposes. A purchase gives you this licence for good, with the updates we release.
Hoverpad, including its code, design, name and logo, belongs to us. You get the right to use it, not ownership of it.
Your account
- You sign in to Hoverpad with a Google account. Your trial and purchase belong to that account, and work on every PC where you sign in with it.
- A purchase is for one person. Please don’t share your sign-in with others.
- Keep your Google account secure. You’re responsible for what’s done with Hoverpad under it.
- You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian agree to these terms and buy Hoverpad for you.
The free trial
Your first sign-in starts a free trial of 7 days, with everything unlocked. You don’t need to give any payment details for it. Each person gets one trial; we may end trials made with extra accounts to get round this.
If your trial ends and you haven’t bought Hoverpad, it becomes read-only. Your notes stay on screen and readable, reminders you’ve already set still go off, and you can export everything. Nothing is deleted, and buying it unlocks it all again.
Plans, prices and paying
- One price, paid once. Hoverpad is sold for a one-time price, shown in the app before you pay. Prices are in Indian rupees and include any taxes we must charge.
- Paying. You pay once through Razorpay by UPI, debit or credit card, or net banking. It isn’t a subscription: nothing renews, and you’re never charged again for the same purchase.
- Paying in installments. You can also pay the price in installments: a first payment, then later ones of at least the amount shown, by a set time. The amounts and times are shown in the app before you pay. Each payment unlocks Hoverpad for the period shown. If the next one isn’t paid by the end of that period, Hoverpad becomes read-only until it is; nothing is deleted. After the time allowed for installments (12 months unless shown otherwise), whatever is left must be paid in one go before Hoverpad unlocks again. Once you’ve paid it all, Hoverpad is yours for good. Installments aren’t a loan: there’s no interest or fee, nothing is taken automatically, and you can stop paying at any time.
- Buying during your trial. You can buy Hoverpad at any time, including during the trial. You’re charged when you pay.
- Working offline. Once you’ve paid in full, Hoverpad doesn’t need to go online to stay unlocked. While you’re paying in installments, it checks your plan when you’re online and works offline for up to 14 days at a time. Signing in on a new PC needs the internet.
- Price changes. We may change our prices. A new price applies to new purchases; what you’ve already paid never changes.
Coupons and offers
A coupon or offer comes with its own conditions, such as who can use it and until when. You’ll see them when you apply it, before you pay. You can use one coupon per purchase. Coupons have no cash value and can’t be exchanged or transferred.
We may end an offer at any time, but never after you’ve paid with it.
Refunds
Hoverpad is bought once, at once or in installments, so there’s no subscription to cancel and nothing renews. If you change your mind, ask within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund.
Refunds are covered by our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Your notes are yours
You own everything you write in Hoverpad. We get no rights to it, and we can’t see it. Hoverpad saves your work on your PC and backs it up to your own Google Drive.
Still, please keep your own copy of anything important. Settings → Export saves everything to one file.
Fair use
When you use Hoverpad, please don’t:
- copy, sell, rent or share Hoverpad or your purchase;
- take apart or change Hoverpad to get round the trial or its licence checks, except where the law allows;
- attack, overload or try to break into our servers;
- use Hoverpad to break the law or to harm others.
Updates and changes
We keep improving Hoverpad, and it updates itself. Your purchase includes these updates. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something central to what you paid for within 12 months of your purchase, you can ask us for a full refund.
If we ever stop selling Hoverpad, we’ll tell you at least 30 days ahead. Copies you’ve already bought keep working on the PCs where you use them.
No guarantees
We work hard to make Hoverpad reliable, but it’s provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will be free of errors, or that it will never miss a reminder. For example, it can’t remind you while your PC is off, asleep or out of battery.
Don’t rely on Hoverpad alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm, such as taking medicine or matters of safety.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or missed opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about Hoverpad is limited to what you paid us for it.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
Ending your use
You can stop using Hoverpad at any time: just uninstall the app.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing your purchase or tampering with licence checks. We’ll tell you why. Unless we closed it for fraud, we’ll refund what you paid.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please write to us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly.
If we can’t settle it together, the courts of [your city], India, will decide it. This doesn’t take away your right to go to a consumer commission.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and we’ll change the date at the top when we do. For important changes, we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they apply. If you don’t agree with them, you can stop using Hoverpad before then.
